Listen up, y'all! I had the privilege of attending the Navy Lacrosse Camp and let me tell you, it was an experience I'll never forget. There were so many talented young athletes there, but what really stood out to me was the level of coaching and instruction we received. One of my favorite parts of the camp was the HS Clinic, where we had the opportunity to learn from some of the best coaches in the game.
Getting Schooled at the HS Clinic
The HS Clinic at the Navy Lacrosse Camp was the perfect opportunity for me to improve my game. We were split up into small groups and each group had a coach who worked closely with us to improve our skills. I can't stress enough how amazing the coaching was; it was obvious that the coaches had a wealth of knowledge and experience to share. We worked on everything from shooting and passing to defensive footwork and game strategies.
One of the drills we did at the HS Clinic was a 1-on-1 drill where we had to defend a player with the ball. It was a great opportunity for me to work on my defense and footwork, and I learned a lot from my coach and the other players in my group. We also did a lot of shooting drills which helped me improve my accuracy and power. It was really cool to see the progress I made over just a few days!
Will's Brave Heart
One of the highlights of the Navy Lacrosse Camp was meeting and playing with some incredible people. One player who really stood out was Will, who had an amazing Brave Heart during one of the scrimmages. For those of you who don't know, a Brave Heart is a sudden-death faceoff that happens when a game is tied at the end of regulation. Will won the faceoff and scored a goal, which was just incredible to watch. It was a really intense moment and I'm so glad I got to witness it!
But what was even more impressive than Will's Brave Heart was his overall attitude and sportsmanship. He was always encouraging his teammates and pushing us to be our best. It was clear that he not only had a lot of talent, but also a lot of heart.
Improving My Skills
I left the Navy Lacrosse Camp feeling like a better player and more confident in my skills. The coaching and instruction at the camp were top-notch and I feel like I really learned a lot. But it wasn't just the skills I learned on the field that made a difference for me. The Navy Lacrosse Camp also taught me about discipline, leadership, and teamwork.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Navy Lacrosse Camp to anyone who wants to improve their skills and learn from some of the best coaches in the game. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget and I am so grateful for the opportunity to attend.
If you're thinking about attending a lacrosse camp, I highly recommend giving the Navy Lacrosse Camp a try. You won't regret it!
